Career Connections Mentorship Program

Mentorship can play a vital role in navigating your career and life.

Being a mentor is an incredibly empowering opportunity to make a real, lasting impact in someone's life.

Mentors can support and guide mentees professionally, as well as be someone they can confide in and connect with personally.

We strongly believe that everyone can benefit from having a mentor. However, we realize that more times than not, it's difficult to find a mentor you can actually connect with.

The Sikh Education and Technology Foundation's (SETF) Career Connections Mentorship Program bridges the gap between industry professionals and students/aspiring individuals.

Our Mentee-Mentor Matching Process

Detailed Application Review

Our team will review your personal interests and mentee/mentor preferences.

We accept both mentee and mentor applications on a rolling basis.

Hand-Selection

Once we receive a mentee application, we will review their profile and see how it aligns with each and every mentor.

If we see alignment between a mentor and mentee's profile, we will reach out to both individuals to gauge interest and facilitate an introduction to each other and the mentorship relationship itself.

Meeting with Purpose

After the initial introduction, we give the mentee and mentor freedom to schedule and determine a meeting type/time/frequency that best fits their schedules and needs.

We'll provide guidance on how to structure this mentee–mentor relationship and some topics we think are worth addressing as well.

Looking Forward

Periodically, our team will check-in with both mentee and mentor ensuring that the relationship is healthy and mutually beneficial.

If at any point either the mentee or mentor needs assistance discontinuing the mentorship we will help facilitate this and find either the mentee or mentor another suitable match in our network.
